Administration Arrangement for November 2008
General
  • The test will be administered by Cambridge Assessment.
  • The BMAT is scheduled to be taken on 5th November 2008.
  • The standard BMAT fee for a UK candidate is £31.00 Sterling and £54.00 Sterling for an International candidate up until midnight on Tuesday 30 September 2008.
  • Late entries between Wednesday 1 October and Wednesday 15 October 2008 will incur a late entry fee. UK candidates will be charged £62.00 Sterling and International Candidates will be charged £108.00 Sterling.
  • The Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, University College London, the Royal Veterinary College and Imperial College London are concerned that the entry fee should not be viewed as a barrier to access and widening participation. Applicants should write to the BMAT Support Team, quoting their BMAT and UCAS numbers, by 1 December 2008 to request reimbursement if they have difficulty in paying the fee.
  • Centres who are normally invoiced in Euros or US Dollars and who wish to know the post-exchange rate fee values, should contact the BMAT Support Team.
  • Cambridge Assessment will supply test results, for Sections 1, 2 & 3, directly to the Universities to which the candidate has applied and to the examination centre making the entry.
Examination Centres
  • The closing date for the receipt of entries by Cambridge Assessment is 30th September 2008. Late entries will be accepted between 1st - 15th October 2008. Late entry fees will apply.
  • The closing date for candidates requiring special versions of the question paper e.g. Braille or enlarged papers, is 19th September 2008.
  • Cambridge Assessment will invoice the centre after the entry closing date.
  • Centres who wish to withdraw candidates should do so via the Entries Extranet by 15th October 2008 to receive an entry fee refund.
  • Although centres must make the examination entry, you may ask the candidate to pay the entry fee and you may make a reasonable administration charge for providing the service to the candidate.
  • On or around 20th October 2008, Cambridge Assessment will despatch to the Centre a pack containing the sealed question paper(s), administrative instructions and other materials.
  • The test must be taken under secure conditions appropriate for public examinations.
  • You must start the examination at 09.30 GMT on 5th November 2008, or as agreed in advance with Cambridge Assessment. Candidates needing to start the test later than this must be kept under supervision from 9.00 until they are able to start. Candidates must not take the test early. You must contact the BMAT Helpdesk if a candidate cannot be accommodated within these stipulations.
